Copy and Layout in Canva
Copy and layout form one decision. A polished template cannot rescue text that has no information hierarchy.
#Choose one main task
A graphic might stop a reader, explain one point or prompt an action. A heading cannot carry the brand statement, benefits, event details and conversion request all at once.
#Organize the copy
Use a hook, core message, supporting line and call to action. Writing first does not mean writing more.
AI can shorten titles, vary tone, clarify bullet hierarchy and reprioritize text for another size. It should not define the brand voice by itself, especially in mixed Chinese/English material. Magic Write, Magic Design and Magic Switch can supply drafts; people bring them back within the brand rules.
#A practical brief
textHeadline: a short English phrase, or 6–12 Chinese characters Subhead: one sentence explaining the value Support: two or three bullets CTA: one clear action
textHeadline: Build AI Portfolio Faster Subhead: Create work you can show employers through project-based learning Support: - Practical projects - Mentor feedback - Chinese and English learning materials CTA: Book a free consultation
This is an illustrative content structure, not proof of a particular course's delivery.
#Match the layout to the message
Make the headline clearly stronger than the subhead. Use whitespace to separate priorities. Give the call to action a distinct color, shape or position. Fix the button treatment in the Brand Kit or templates so it does not change arbitrarily between designs.
#Common failures
Shorten an overcrowded heading before changing the layout. Match the copy's tone to the visual treatment: gentle layouts and aggressive sales language can conflict. Reserve the strongest emphasis for the heading and call to action rather than every line.
