Sora Prompt Framework
Write a shot brief rather than prose about an atmosphere. Define scene, subject, action, camera, pacing and any intended sound.
textshot type + scene + subject + action + camera movement + lighting + style + duration + aspect ratio + audio
textA 4-second clip, evening city street, a young woman walks past glowing shop windows, camera tracks from the side, cinematic and realistic, warm color palette, 9:16
#Give each field a purpose
Scene establishes the environment. Subject needs identifying detail. Action creates progression rather than animated wallpaper. Camera can be static, pushing in, tracking sideways or revealing from above.
If sound matters, specify the intended result rather than leaving dialogue or ambience ambiguous. Keep style vocabulary limited and establish duration/ratio early because they affect pacing and composition.
#Refine in order
Fix scene and subject, adjust the action, then camera, then style/mood. Changing five variables together hides the cause of improvement or failure.
The source describes Sora 2 limitations with simultaneous speakers, complex collisions and very fast camera moves. Confirm the capabilities of the actual product/model you can access and test difficult interactions before extending them.
