Pika Output Specs
Choose output specifications from the destination platform before generating. For talking avatars and social clips, aspect ratio, duration and caption space affect the composition.
#Common aspect ratios
9:16: Reels, TikTok and Shorts.16:9: YouTube, presentations and landing pages.1:1: some social feeds.
#Choosing duration
- Three to five seconds: a useful starting point for testing character stability, synchronization and emotion.
- Six to ten seconds: enough for a more complete spoken thought.
- Longer pieces: split them into multiple clips.
The Chinese source describes a ten-second limit for Pika 2.2 based on its help information at the time. Treat this as a version-specific reference, and confirm the limit in your current interface. For longer work, generate separate segments.
#Before exporting
Check caption space, subject placement within the safe area, room for branding or a call to action, and whether the clip needs further editing.
When using Pikaframes for first- and last-frame control, also check whether both frames connect to the surrounding sequence, whether the pacing suits the platform, and whether to keep a clean export for later edits.
