Pika Short-Video Workflow
Treat Pika as a short-clip drafting tool. A small production unit is easier to compare in A/B tests than a long video.
#A practical workflow
- Define one job for the clip.
- Write a clear description of the character, action and emotion.
- Generate a three- to five-second test.
- Refine the most stable version.
- Export for the destination aspect ratio.
#Give each clip one job
For example, create a talking opening hook, an emotional reaction shot or a product-explainer avatar. Do not ask a four-second clip to explain benefits, establish a setting, deliver a plot twist and showcase facial expressions at once.
#Why short clips are easier to control
Characters remain more stable, local edits are easier to blend, QA is simpler and revisions cost less. For content longer than twenty seconds, assemble several clips in an editor.
#A staged production sequence
The source suggests generating a first pass normally or with Pikaframes, then using Pikaswaps, Pikadditions or Pikaffects for local creative changes, before exporting to an editor. Check which features your current account supports. This separates generation from refinement instead of placing every requirement in one prompt.
